What are Isochronic Tones?
Isochronic tones are a single, continuous tone that is manually pulsed on and off at regular, rapid intervals. Unlike binaural beats, which rely on phase differences between ears to create a perceived beat, isochronic tones feature amplitude modulation directly embedded within the sound itself.
The sound starts and stops completely, creating a distinct, sharp rhythm. The wave is typically shaped as a square wave or a smoothed pulse rather than a smooth sine wave, ensuring a clean and abrupt contrast between sound and silence.
